Ross High Rugby Get NEW strips!
16 Nov 2012 Ross High Rugby Un 16’s proudly show off their new strips donated by local businessman Mr Ronnie Brown of R. M. Demolitions. Mr Brown has always been a keen supporter of youth sport in the Tranent area was only too happy to support one of his local rugby teams. Graeme Welsh and Michael Walshe the team coaches are very grateful to Mr Brown, whose support replaces strips which have handed down from team to team over the last few years. |
Mark Urwin (Ross HS Sport & Physical Activity Co-ordinator) commented how support from local businesses is invaluable and even more appreciated in the current economic climate. “The players also notice when someone locally takes an interest in their rugby, it helps them feel part of a wider community”. Another season and Tranent Cricket Club are delighted to announce another club sponsor, RM Brown Demolition.
Club President Amjad Shaikh confirmed that RM Brown Demolition are a local company with a real community focus. Amjad confirming that Tranent Cricket Club are only the latest amateur sporting club that are or have been assisted by RM Brown Demolition. Amjad confirmed that this sponsorship deal will enable the club to continue to focus on development rather than financial issues and can only be a good thing for the community.

Winner 2011: Ronnie Brown
The incredible accomplishments of 10 community heroes in Tranent were celebrated by nearly 200 people at an awards ceremony held in January, One of those to be recognised was local businessmen Ronnie Brown, who climbed up to the stage despite sporting a broken ankle.
Mr Brown, owner of local demolition contractor RM Brown, was honoured for his years of support to local groups and events, such as the town's gala celebrations, Ross High Rugby Club and Tranent Colts FC"
